Continuing on the Kiddie-Party circuit was a Pirate theme!
OM is truly dedicated to her craft. We were all encouraged to get into character. The kids, loved it.
These beautiful little skirts for the girls were all handmade.
The little T-shirts were her own design
There was a lot of attention to detail
I think OM missed her calling… she is an amazing party planner. Don’t get me started on the food. She had a constant stream yummy little somethings fresh from the oven… Gastronomic heaven!
The only thing partially outsourced was the cake. She used Cake to the Rescue. And isn’t it fabulous!
They send you out a little kit that tells you exactly how to make your little one’s dreams come true. Now I know I can have back up.
This morning for breakfast it was Buttermilk Pancakes Chez-Butter.
Nothing feeds 3 hungry men on a Sunday like pancakes. Yes even little Ben loves them, easy to swallow and tasty for all the little gummy-bears in our lives.
Pancakes were the first thing I was allowed to cook on my own from the age of 6. I grew up in a household, way before Google, that functioned primarily without cook books. My Grandmother was all about the little bit of this and a little bit of that. Each recipe a mystery.
So I’ve taken a good few years to hone my craft. I consider my pancakes a badge of honor. If you every happen to be in town on the weekends, stop by for a bite. I hope you won’t be disappointed.
A lot of people today opt for chocolate, fruit or nuts in their pancakes, I like them completely stripped back… Just a knob of butter, lashings of maple syrup and a twist of lemon.
How about you? What recipes do you take particular pride in? Any one thing your Opus in the kitchen?
