Christmas yummy naughty delights!

Ladies we all know that at Christmas time, we can allow ourselves time to splurge a little (or a lot) on some of the yummy delights on offer. Remembering of course that in the New Year we will be sticking to that new weight loss resolution for at least the first few weeks….. or even days….

Mini cup-cakes

Here at the Betty Butter Blog, we all juggle working full-time jobs, caring for children and of course household duties. Now when an opportunity comes around in your work space from someone who is as creative as this lovely lady, devoting her time, for small retribution, to provide these gorgeously decorated Christmas yummies, we jumped at it! For a small price and hassle free dessert option this Christmas lunch / dinner with family and friends, they are well worth it.

Don’t you just love these decorated cup-cakes! Look at the delicate intricacy of each decorated cake that obviously has taken precious time, energy and effort. They come in two sizes; large and mini so you can choose to treat yourself in the fashion you feel you deserve. They are also great for the kids on Christmas day instead of the grand Christmas Cake or plum pudding with custard.

Speaking of Grand Christmas cake, check out this wonder. The baker tells me, the fruit has been soaking in rum for at least the past two months, with regularly top ups of course to allow the fruit to become plump and rich to perfection. Whether you like it warm or room temperature with a side of cream, ice-cream, brandy or butterscotch custard (a recently found new addition to the supermarket range) this is an instant heart warmer. Its aroma fills the room when slicing a piece and instantly provides you with childhood memories of Christmas. From Grandma’s home style traditional plum pudding, reminiscing back to a time when the anticipation of Santa was the one thing you looked forward to on Christmas morning, squealing with delight opening presents with your siblings and parents. Hmmm the joy of Christmas time. What’s your fondest memory on Christmas morning?

Very very Rum balls

Very very Rum balls

Oh my god (OMG!), I LOVE rum balls! And I can honestly say these are the best rum balls I have ever tasted. They are very very rum balls, in that you might not be able to drive if you consume more than three of these in one sitting! Perfect accompaniment for after Christmas dinner or lunch with a nice strong hot coffee. Or if you are needing that pick-me-up around 2pm during a long stressful day at work. Put simply they are divine and must stress they are only for adult consumption!!

Yummy mint slice

And lastly but not least, this gorgeous choc-mint slice. A perfect treat for the kids in the morning of course before nap time so they can wear themselves out after the sugar hit. This is an all-round pleaser for everyone to enjoy. The crisp texture and mint fresh taste is very moreish. Of course it’s also perfect with an aperitif or brandy on Christmas night after a long enjoyable relaxing food and fun filled day. Unfortunately ladies, these items are not for public sale, as the lovely lady who makes them is still in the process of considering registering her kitchen. So here on Betty Butter let’s give her the positive feedback she deserves to give her that little push and utilise her talents for the greater good! We all want some!!
